Colombian coffee is world famous and particularly appreciate due to its medium-body with a rich taste and citrus-like acidity. One reason for these well balanced and flavorful coffee beans is because Colombian soil is rich. They have lots of volcanic soil, perfect amount of humidity, plenty of warmth, and quite a bit of shade. Another important reason, besides from the soil, is the elevation. Coffee plants grown best between 1200 and 1800 meters above sea level.
There is also the fact that Colombian coffee has an extra step when the beans are processed, and that influences the flavor too. The coffee cherries are picked, mashed and washed off for several days. Finally, the beans are roasted to different levels, getting a milder flavor.
Our Colombian Arabica has a well-balanced flavor with a mango note and red fruits fragrance, making it perfect for people who prefer “medium-strong” coffees.
